The challenge

At the end of June 2024, Samsung approached us to design and deliver their second National Training Summit event of the year.

The goal was to create an immersive, engaging, and highly interactive experience that would not only inform but also inspire the attendees, all before the latest Galaxy products were unveiled to the world.

The challenge lay in ensuring that every aspect of the Summit—from the keynote sessions to the product deep dives and hands-on activities—were meticulously planned and flawlessly executed, providing attendees with an unparalleled learning experience that would prepare them for the role they would play in the success of the upcoming product releases.

What we did

  • Used our expertise and experience to bring to life the features and benefits of the Samsung Galaxy AI portfolio in an immersive, engaging, and innovative approach
  • Invited 265 team members to learn about the latest Galaxy devices: Galaxy Z Fold6 | Z Flip6, Galaxy Watch7 | Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds3 | Buds3 Pro, Galaxy Ring, the new era of Galaxy AI
  • The 2-day event was hosted and delivered 2 weeks ahead of the Global Unpacked announcement, under pre-embargo security conditions
  • Attending the event were the SEUK front-line sales team who were responsible for delivering training and driving excitement across 28k of the UK’s Mobile Operator and Retail Channel partner base of staff in Retail Stores and Contact Centres
  • Teams were seeded with Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 devices, ready to deliver epic customer experiences.

Breakdown of event

Day 1

  • Our two-day training event began with a dynamic keynote session, where members of the Samsung MX training team introduced seven ground-breaking devices and the Power of Galaxy AI. Setting the stage for a comprehensive exploration of Samsung’s cutting-edge technology.
  • The event featured an engaging live Q&A with product specialists Kadesh Beckford and Richard Walton. Hosted by Shaun Harvey, this session provided delegates with the opportunity to pose critical questions and gain invaluable insights directly from the experts.
  • Following the keynote, delegates participated in in-depth product deep dive sessions. These sessions covered details including customer experiences (CXPs), pin-to-pin comparisons, and product specifications. Attendees also had the first opportunity to experience Ecosystem products hands-on, providing a practical understanding of how the devices work together seamlessly.
  • 322 Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 devices were seeded among the delegates. These devices were used throughout the event, allowing participants to familiarise themselves with the latest Galaxy innovations and prepare for demo readiness.

Day 2

  • Day 2 of our training event began with a focused review of the key learnings from Day 1, followed by a brief knowledge check-in to ensure everyone was on track.
  • Attendees then transitioned into hands-on experience rooms, meticulously designed to bring the new devices to life through three key applications: Health AI, Galaxy AI, Ecosystem and Assurance. These sessions were signed off with a training validation segment, testing knowledge retention. Impressively, delegates achieved a 98% pass rate.
  • The afternoon was dedicated to executing our conference messaging. Key speakers from across the business, including Head of MX, James Kitto, provided valuable insights into the plans and activations supporting the upcoming device launches throughout H2.
  • The event concluded with a celebratory session recognising the hard work and achievements of the first half of the year. We honoured our brightest talent with the annual Field & HQ Team awards, acknowledging their exceptional contributions. Congratulations to all the winners!
