Right now, we know that we can’t go to the gym, play sport, take part in local park runs or exercise together with our friends and colleagues. This got us to thinking about how we could help encourage our teams to stay active whilst also staying connected given we are currently working from our homes.
To support this and to show our gratitude, we put together a small wellness package that was sent straight to their doorsteps containing a My Zone fitness tracker, a Joe Wicks cook book and a lifestyle voucher courtesy of Motivates, all contributing to both their physical and mental health and well-being.
"It’s important that we take care of ourselves and our well-being every day"
Our employee’s overall wellness is greatly important to us, therefore we are encouraging ongoing communication and support through exercise and friendly competition which is tracked and shared via the My Zone app.
If successful, we will be looking to roll out My Zone fitness trackers and the app out to the entire business, opening up the community feature to everyone and encouraging our teams to keep healthy and active, achieving their own weekly and monthly goals in line with the World Health Organisation guidelines for Physical Activity.
We hope that this will keep our team motivated and connected whilst creating an even closer community at Central Support. It’s only been a little over a week since the wellness packages arrived, but I’ve been amazed at how many distance runners and chefs that we have in the building!
It’s important that we take care of ourselves and our well-being every day as well as during these uncertain times to maintain both physical and mental wellness. We’re all in this together and we will get through it, healthier and fitter then ever!
