FMBE Awards 2020 - We've been shortlisted for 6 awards!

We can't believe it’s been over a year already since we were celebrating and sharing our wins with you all after 2019's FMBE Awards! A year on, and we are delighted to announce that the Blue Square Group have been nominated for six awards this year, including three for Blue Square and our work with Samsung and two for our brand new venture 'OnLive Events', as well as our first ever shortlist for the prestigious Agency of the Year award!

Blue Square x Samsung - Carly Gamble

Carly has been nominated for her outstanding and ongoing work with Great Ormond Street Hospital, leading a project that has helped get 30 gifted devices from Samsung into the hospital for the patients to use and upskill the staff on the new tech too.  Her team have also raised money for free meals, all to aid patients and families.

Blue Square x Samsung - 'After Hours'

'After Hours' was a national scale campaign to immerse retail sales staff in the possibilities of Samsung’s new devices and UK-first 5G technology. Each event was held in fun, vibrant spaces such as bars and nightclubs across the country, the high-engagement and high-energy approach for this campaign delivered exceptional results for Samsung in stores across the UK.

Blue Square x Samsung - 'Engage Social'

'Engage Social' has evolved the social media reach and engagement of our field force as ambassadors for Samsung. It's a 3-tier programme of social media marketing designed by Blue Square in 2020, which includes a first-of-its-kind solution aiming to re-think traditional nano-influencer marketing.

OnLive Events x Samsung - ‘Virtual National Training Summit (VNTS)’

Following the global pandemic and restrictions, we had to re-think the way a flagship training conference for a global brand could engage a nationwide audience during this time and allowed us to gain record levels of engagement, by embracing a hybrid digital event solution.

Operational Success

OnLive Events - ‘Spoony’s House presents #50BBE’

An 8-hour livestream, broadcast from a secret London location featuring 19 of some of the most famous UK celebs. Held in June 2020 during a global Black Lives Matter civil rights movement (not to mention a pandemic too), the event celebrated Black British Excellence and the birthday of one of the UK’s finest DJs and TV/radio broadcasters, DJ Spoony. The livestream pulled in 25k live viewers, was watched for over a million minutes and featured the likes of Idris Elba, Reggie Yates and Ian Wright.

A nomination gained by the FMBE judging panel taking all submissions and the year as a whole into consideration.
